While lending mission support on planet SR388, interstellar bounty hunter Samus Aran is attacked by an X parasite, an organism with the ability to mimic the abilities of any creature it infects. Is DraStic the best emulator?
The evil Dr Claw has been at it again, and the Inspector has been drafted in to save the day. Along with Puchi, a talking wonder dog, and Dr Z, a scientist that sends you around the world, you must pick a country and drill through a seemingly endless supply of coloured blocks. Your job is to rack up high scores and generally wield power tools that are NOT safe for children to be handling. Ninjas are cool and always will be, which is why I’ve chosen to add this title into the mix. It received mix reviews from the pros, but you can’t always listen to what they say. His actions are limited due to the GBC only having two buttons, but the vibrant graphics more than make up for the lack of karate-chop emulatorgames action.
I say that these are best on a GBC, despite that system not having a backlight, because on GBA-line systems, colors in GBC games are a bit too dark. This makes the games look darker and drabber than they should; Play GBC games on GBC and then GBA, you really can tell the difference. They still play fine and look okay on the GBA line, but look better on GBCs. Oh, some games are affected more than others by the darkened colors. Note that some black-cart GB/GBC dual-mode games do have Super Game Boy enhancements, as well as a full-color GBC mode. The Game Boy Advance was originally released in 2001 as a successor to the Game Boy Color, being backwards compatible with all previous Game Boy games.

In order to start preparations for the parts I needed to remove, relocate, or replace on the GBC, I made up a handy little diagram for me to follow, shown below. Remember that I’ll have to remove the bottom half of the GBC to get it to fit inside the DMG case with the cartridge slot in the proper location. After using the Dremel, I cleaned up all the boards with some isopropyl alcohol. I also went around and removed all the remaining leads from parts I cut off, and cleaned up all the remaining solder on the board.
But there are some GBA games that really do raise the cuteness levels to the max. The genre-defining PC, Sim City 2000, game got a GBA port in 2003. Other genres, like park builders and city builders are great for whiling away a few hours on a long journey, a quiet evening or, well, whenever really.
